Wilco - 28 April 2010, Wellington

This is one that I didn't record, but the person who screams at the band before She's a Jar [update: phew, not that person at all] requested it over at the Wilco forum viachicago.org. The recording is pretty good quality, and while it isn't the best show they played that tour and doesn't feature a tons of rarities (Magazine Called Sunset was a nice surprise though), there are a bunch of songs that don't get played too often recently.

For hardcore fans, its also worth noting that, as far as I'm aware, this show hasn't been circulated at all. I got it from the person who recorded it, and have offered it around a few times, but without any interest.

  1. Thankyou so much for this!
I looked for a recording after the show and was sad I couldn't find one so this is so awesome after all this time:) I havn't listened yet but I must clarify - I'm not the stupid woman who was screaming after Misunderstood... at the end of She's a jar I waved at Jeff from the front row and he said, 'was that your request' and I was all smiley glowy nodding and he said 'well at least you're happy' and I said 'thankyou', and he said, 'you're welcome'. I remember it word for word, highlight of my life lol.

  2. Aaah, I'd tried to avoid mentioning that you'd clearly annoyed Jeff, but you weren't that person at all.
I got hold of this largely by luck. I asked around and the person who recorded it gave it to me and promptly disappeared. I don't think they've been back to viachicago since then. Hopefully they'll reappear to record the NZ shows. I'm going to record a few, but only in Australia.

  3. Thanks again for passing it on, especially when you thought I was annoying chick haha.
I'd like to be able to record here but I'm not capable. I can barely even keep track of a set list, I get too engrossed in the show!
