Reflections

Apart from the general awesomeness of this bit of art, I find it amazing how they've added a reflection to his glasses.  I've spent a lot of time staring into his dreamy eyes and wondering where it is that hes looking at.

Like my kitteh friend, I'm not sure who this is.

Postscript: having written this I've learnt that the mysterious artist is nuFevah (as you can see in a couple of the pics - duh!).

Kitteh

Why is it that I dispise people who use terms such as kitteh and then use it myself?  Maybe because I am a riddle, wrapped in an enigma, wrapped in a ball of loathing and self hate.  Who knows?  Not sure who is responsible for these (looks like GLF on the ear), but they're very prolific.  They're one of the two bits of art that are virtually omnipresent in Melbourne (the other will be posted later).

Stabsystabs

Another unique and interesting artist, who (generally) uses variations on a set theme.  It can sometimes be hard to figure out who is responsible for some bits of art, but Stabs stuff is, generally, incredibly distinctive.

Looking through these photos has reminded me how much great stuff there is if you keep an eye out.

Another Street Art Post

This is the side of someone's house.  If I actually owned a place I'd be tempted to get someone to do an internal 'feature' wall. That might be a bit douchey but that's the way I roll.

Vexta

I really like Vexta's stuff, like other really great street artists she has a very unique and recognisable style.  I'm tempted to buy one of her pieces, but most of the things I've seen aren't quite as good as her street work (not sure why, but that seems to be the way with a lot of people).

E.L.K.

A few more of my favourite bits of street art.  These are a series by E.L.K.  Theres a nice alley by Queen Victoria market that has some of his work, but I haven't managed to get there with a camera yet.

Some Street Art

One of my favourite things about Melbourne is the street art.  I suspect that many people don't even notice the extent of it, or realise Melbourne's uniqueness in this regard.  The picture below is one of my favourites, it was on Little Lonsdale but has now been painted over.
