Bruce Springsteen & Eddie Vedder
I'm not planning on putting up the whole Springsteen show since every show on the tour is going to be sold through his website, but I figure a few people are going to be keen to hear this. So here are the first two songs of the set, which happen to feature Eddie Vedder. Make sure to download the full show when it becomes available in a week or so.

A soundboard recording of this show is now available for paid download from Bruce Springsteen's website. I've downloaded it and it sounds great. On the other hand, it's looking increasingly like night 2 isn't going to be released. Given the length of that show, my recorder ran out part way through the show (despite changing cards part way through), but I'll process and make available what I got if this isn't released in the next week or two).

Bruce Springsteen - SiriusXM 10th Anniversary Show, 9 March 2012
Bruce Springsteen's shows at the start of the year were phenomenal. At the end of shows of that quality I sometimes feel a bit gutted that it'll be another four or five years till I get to see them again. But not this time! Springsteen will be back for another Melbourne show (and there are gaps in the schedule for at least one and maybe two more shows). Anyone that missed out last time should make sure to get to one of these if they possibly can.
To whet your appetite here's a recording of a show he did last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of SiriusXM. The show was played at the famous Apollo Theater, hence the soul style introduction and the medley of soul classics. It's a short set by Springsteen standards, but maybe that's a good thing if you're only a casual fan wanting to figure out if you want to see him live.

Bruce Springsteen - 26 March 2013, Rod Laver Arena
The second night of Springsteen was just as good as the first. He does a great job of mixing up his sets, while still playing enough hits to please the casual fan (it helps when you have a truckload of hits to choose from).
Sound for this one isn't quite as good as the first night. Mainly because of some annoying girls who keep screaming out 'PONY BOY'. It's only occassional and not too prominent, so doesn't kill the set. The MP3 link will come soon hopefully.

Bruce Springsteen - 24 March 2013, Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
About two or three songs into this show I remember thinking that it was the greatest show I’ve ever seen. Having had a chance to think about it some more I’d refine that a bit – this is hardly an intimate show – but for any band aiming for a high-energy, rollicking, exhilarating show, this should be the template for what it takes.
Unfortunately for me, pretty much everything that should be said about these shows has been – Bruce’s ridiculous energy (for anyone of any age), the crowd engagement, the depth of his catalogue, the quality of the band. My only regret is that I only managed to make two shows on this tour (although the reason for that is that I’m seeing some other great band – more of that soon).
The recording quality here is really good. There were only a couple of quiet bits (in particular when a young kid was brought up to sing a bit of Waitin’ on a Sunny Day), I’ve tried to reduce static as much as possible, but what’s there is the cost of not having distortion in the rest of the show. Lastly, these shows will be the next ones I make available in MP3 and WAV. I’m hoping to get all the WAV links (including Neil Young) up this weekend).
